DBS Roofing Contractors installs the Tamko Tile Underlayment Roof System, starting with a 6” secondary water barrier to all the seams in the plywood. This is installed for added protection against a hurricane. If wind damage occurs to the roof, water will take the path of least resistance, the seams in the plywood.
By installing the Tamko Moisture Wrap, a self-adhering water barrier directly to the plywood decking you eliminate that path of water entry, it also may entitle the client to a greater discount on their homeowner’s insurance.
The second layer of roof material is Tamko ASTM #30 roof felt mechanically fastened to the Florida Building Code. The Final layer is a Tamko ASTM #90 tile underlayment set in hot asphalt.
